Constantin CORNEANU has a PhD in history since May 25, 2003, with a thesis related to the geopolitical situation of Romania during the Second World War era. He is a founding member and president of the Executive Committee of the „Gheorghe I. Brătianu” European Association of Geopolitical and Strategic Studies (EAGSS) since September 2009. Prior to founding the „Gheorghe I. Brătianu” EAGSS, he was an adviser for the Romanian Government Office for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (2004 - 2007) and journalist for the Press Trust of the Ministry of National Defense within the TV Pro-Patria and Observatorul Militar newsrooms. As an author, he published the following works: The Burden of Great Decisions (2013); Bloody Victory. December 1989 (2014), as well as numerous scientific articles published in magazines. He is a co-editor on the book The Fall of the Soviet Empire. „Lessons in Hindsight” (2012). From 15 January 2020 he is the editor-in-chief of the magazine Enigmas of History.
