If somebody does not do anything it might take a few years to develop immunity to HPV. If somebody takes the author's recommendations, it requires only a few months to establish immunity to HPV. The longer somebody is infected with human papilloma virus, the more likely it can trigger cervical damage. So it is preferred to generate resistance so as to do away with HPV virus as quickly as reasonable.
