Chris “Christophonic” Funari was given his nickname by his mother at the age of one, little did anyone know it would become a self fulfilling prophecy as his love for music would eventually flourish.
He expressed his early influence of old school hip-hop through dance, guitar, bass, drums and piano. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in percussion, Christophonic continued to connect to others through music as a producer and DJ. As a DJ he morphs to his environment by mashing up indie, dance, nu disco, hip-hop, trap, funk, soul and more. You can find DJ Christophonic spinning at local venues around Philadelphia and occasionally branching off into the surrounding areas of NYC and Baltimore.
