I don't remember the exact date, but it all started one night at a great GLBTQ Organization in East LA called Altamed Youth Services. Now the person who was DJ'ing at the time was new to it, and new to the system that was being used. Unbeknowst to anyone, the CD Players were extremely sensitive to outside noise (lol) and would skip anytime anyone would clap, whistle, hoot&holler, and all the performers thought he was skipping the CD's, lol, so they gave him the nickname Skippy. One night I was asked to fill in for him because he got the Drag itch, and so I stepped in. Let's just say I have a better ear for music... that's not a read... it's just the truth, lol. No experience (except for making Cheerleading remixes in High School ON TAPE BITCHES!! lol) I found I could crossfade with the best of them, lol. What started as just for that night, ended up becoming something I absolutely love
