Emanating from the halls of the 80’s rave scene in Seattle, Chris Savenetti has established himself as a permanent fixture in the bourgeoning underground dance music community in Seattle. Hailing from Tacoma, WA, Chris has been expertly blending sounds since his first residency in 1989, where his enthusiasm for records led him to co-form the record store Universe Records in the mid-90’s.
On the decks, Chris is Inspired by the San Francisco/ West Coast sound. In his early days, he took his cue from pioneers such as Jeno and the entire Wicked crew, Doc Martin, Frankie Knuckles and Derrick Carter, who in perfect synchronicity with the dance floor inspired him to inject the deep, dark psychedelic sound into his sets for which he’s become known.
Behind the 4/4 beat is a clear sense of connection that resonates for Chris.
