Couzteau has been on the decks and dancefloors of Germany since the early 90ies. Electronic music has always been his passion.

Significant early influences are underground artists from the German music scene are labels such as Kompakt, Perlon.

Today music released by Liebe * Detail, Freude am Tanzen, Pampa, Circus Company or Dirtybird are spinning on Chemical Bill's decks.

After moving to San Francisco in 2007 Couzteau is now discovering the underground music scene abroad and making friends on the west coast while keeping close ties with his musical roots and friends in Germany, i.e. at the record label Liebe * Detail and the Fusion-Festival Crew.

Favorite clubs are Bar 25 in Berlin, always and forever the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg and the 222Hyde in San Francisco.
