Charles Somerset is a veteran DJ and musician, but a relatively new producer. He started exploring various production platforms and techniques in 2009, and has been learning and evolving ever since. To date, he has written and produced what he calls "Minor League" tracks, but each one has escalated his production quality and furthered his knowledge of composition and music theory to a point where he is ready to undertake far more complex projects. Under his alias, Mothmaker, he plans on releasing at least five new singles in 2013, and has already won some serious label attention. His genre of choice is simple: Trance. "I've seen sub-genres come and go. Too much attention is paid to the next new thing -- right now it's electro-house and Dub step, but eventually it all gets folded back into Trance. Trance is the memory verse of the underground rave, and staple to the hottest clubs. It has more gravity and substance and potential for growth than anything else. It's a calling."
