Channin Smith was born into a talent filled family on June 14, 1965. His Mother, a Jazz Musician, taught him at a very young age, to express the feeling contained in his soul through Music. His father, a political artist, taught him to both love and appreciate life. Channin has been a musician since he picked up his first instrument at the age of four, and has been learning how to make music since. Channin's conquests include the piano, trumpet, kangling, and the flute; his next challenge being the guitar. Channin, a prolific composer who states that San Francisco is his kitchen, Oakland is his living room, and Alameda is his bedroom; grew up unbound in the streets of San Francisco, often swimming in the bay, while his mother and her friends held drum circles in the sand.
We are all here to make love and play music. Our subatomic particles are exponential in their ability to morph; we can be anything. Patience and responsibility are the apex of humanity, and we are all one.
