chamelio 3000 aka chamelio salamander was born in Southern-Germany as the older son of Greek immigrants, which moved in the early 60s from Greece to Germany.
Purchased with 16 his first vinyl (David Bowie / Queen - Under Pressure) but discovered very fast his love for the back then so called “black music” scene of the 80s. Penetrating early into the Chicago and Detroit House scene and till today being a mentor for good electronic music.
Growing up in a music-oriented environment. Impressed by the Breakdance/Hip-Hop movement in 1984 and the German electronic music pioneers. Uses Ableton Live including his own tracks, in combination with CDJs and 1210s in order to create a live remixing & DJ set with many surprises and variety.
Achieved in 2016 the 2nd place in the Beatport World Wide Mixcharts with his “EARTH MIX Vol. 1”.
