Chakz is a yucatecan chilango with taste for jaiboles and castacan torta. He consideres himself as a designer, illustrator, toy maker and fights’ aficionado. Organized design conferences, had a studio, a gallery and at a point was even teaching. In short, a peninsular stable life changed by the stress of Mexico City, where he currently resides.
His main job is to drive Chakz Armada’ ship, manned by characters with mixed elements like robots to prehispanic elements, which are presented in limited edition products. In times teaches workshops in colleges and schools in several cities of Mexico. His work has been published in magazines and design blogs. When he is not watching MMA fights he is developing urban interventions or assembling paper toys of various sizes.
