Chris presents the World of Music on The Flash (radio serving South East Hampshire in the UK) a genre hopping programme of all genres of music from all parts of the world. He is a classically trained musician, playing the violin and piano since the age of eight. Chris plays in a Chichester (UK) based orchestra and a local string quartet.
Chris was a teenager in the late seventies and early eighties and has a soft spot for music of that era. At university Chris used to DJ the reggae nights.
Now retired, having sold his company in 2020, Chris used to run a software company in the financial services industry since the mid 1980’s. Today Chris runs Singing Gorilla Projects, a charity supporting remote rural communities in the hills of southern Uganda. The charity has developed a music school that delivers pre-owned musical instruments from here in the UK to the local community in Uganda. The charity also builds classrooms, medical facilities and water capture and delivery systems.
