Carl III is a Bronx based artist, music producer, and DJ. Carl was influenced by listening to his parents’ jazz and R&B albums, singing and mimicking the voices of the singers and the sounds of the instruments. Carl was introduced to Brooklyn in the 80’s by his mother and moved to city in 2003. He continued singing while teaching himself how to create arrangements. He was also inspired by the nightlife and DJs, taking in the sounds of house music. “I had my own ideas of what I wanted to hear and experience musically and decided the best way was to create it myself.”
