Carl Michaels is a Philadelphia-based DJ and producer known for his dynamic house, deep house, nu-disco, and dance-pop sets. A longtime presence in the city’s nightlife, he holds regular residencies at Paradise (Asbury Park), 254, and Tavern On Camac. Carl is also a prolific producer, releasing music under his own name and as part of Persons of Interest, a collaborative project with Jamie Johnson. He has opened for artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, Kim Petras, Rina Sawayama, Satin Jackets, and CupcakKe. Carl’s style is rooted in connection—always experimenting, always pushing the crowd—and deeply tied to the energy of Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ scene.
