I grew up in the UK listening to Rave, Jungle, Trance, and UK Garage as a teen and in my twenties I spent many nights in gay clubs dancing to the house/handbag of the time. Most of the music I mix and play out is deeply rooted in a 90's sound whether its new or old and I'm not shy of playing commercial club bangers ;)
