Coming from a background in drum and bass, Nonfuture has recently grown a fond taste for the frenetic rhythms in juke and footwork. Marking the first ever footwork mix of the Bwompcast series, it's reasonable to say "Fast//Forward" is one of the more unique mixes we've had the pleasure to present to date. Taking us on a journey that begins presumably in tribal Africa before propelling us into a barrage of chattering kicks, claps, and sirens with his original track "Gunshot Riddim," Nonfuture is undoubtedly here to move and educate. What makes this mix even more exciting is this guy is actually a really talented DJ and you can hear it.
This is a sick patchwork of moods and grooves, littered and modernized with chopped up hip hop samples, and all tied together by that all-too-delicious 160 BPM rhythm. If you can't keep up with "Fast//Forward," you're probably too slow.
