Brukisan (alias of Brooke Whatnall), made his first connections with music growing up in the hills of Adelaide in the late 2000s. But it was in 2017 that he had his first encounter with the Berlin electronic scene, and after discovering how transformative and freeing a dance floor can be, as a safe space for self-expression and connection, he returned home to New Zealand to contribute to the underground culture back home.

His DJ performances at Phase 2, Twisted Frequency, Relish Festival and Club 121 speak volumes of his ability to engage a crowd and take them on a journey. A mix of fast grooves, hypnotic layering and elements of breakbeat, his sets bring energy, convey a range of emotions and aim to create those unforgettable, timeless moments on the dance floor.

Releasing last year on Sunora Records, he is focused on further refining his sound both as a DJ and producer, and to grow the underground scene in Central Otago.
