Long-time friends Darren Rees and Sebastian Markiewicz are the creative minds behind the brand new electronic music entity, Brookland.
Their respective solo music careers span three decades, both highlighted by releases on John Digweed's illustrious record label, Bedrock Records, and interspersed with infrequent but hugely successful collaborative works. Support has come from all corners of the globe - Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo; the list reads like a who's who of the scene's most influential players. The team are now brought together for a more closely intertwined, long-term project.
The debuting 'Ninth Planet' collection was immediately snapped up by legendary Fade Records, for Chris Fortier’s ‘The Next We’ compilation. The tracks have also enjoyed ongoing support by all the leading tastemakers. This is just the beginning of an exciting phase for the duo, and a very busy 2021 is expected. Stay tuned!
