BRIXTON RECORDS is an independent record company specialized in Jamaican sounds founded in 1998 as the natural offspring of an existing record store. From its humble origins releasing material by a new generation of ska and reggae enthusiasts it has evolved to be a reputable brand including renowned international acts like The Aggrolites, Dave Barker, The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble and David Hillyard & The Rocksteady 7 and also The Starlites, Soweto, The Pepper Pots, Root Diamoons…. Brixton Records owns two sub-labels (Silver Bullets and Guns Of Brixton Records) and also acts as concert promoter and band manager.
