Over 30 years ago a group of friends opened their doors to upcoming bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Raven. The original Old Bridge Metal Militia would get these up and coming bands to play at parties in basements and the backs of stores. They were immortalized in the song “One Night in Old Bridge” on the Megaforce compilation “Born to Metalize” as well as Blessed Death’s song “Knights of Old Bridge”. The OBMM has also been mentioned in Rat Skates DVD “Get Thrashed” and Born in the Basement”.
