Nurtured on the jazz sounds of artists such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Paul Hardcastle as well as the burgeoning mid-'80s house scene in his hometown of Chicago, Brian Harden was well primed for a career as a musician. Despite his lack of formal musicianship, he began producing jazz-influenced house in the early '90s for recognized Chicago labels such as Dancemania and Relief.
