Brian Blaq’s dj career goes back to over 10 years when he started DJ’ing in high school. During this time he crossed paths with now friend DJ Mbuso who had just started DJ’ing. Like the typical story of most djs Brian started his radio career at a campus radio station when he enrolled at the Boston Media House. Not long after a friend advised that he visit the Voice Of Soweto as they would invite students to act as DJ’s for 30 minutes. Brian’s talent impressed many and he found himself being offered a job as a DJ at the station. He was offered a graveyard show on Saturdays. Not too long after that, he was asked to do a show on Friday nights. The show became even bigger as management offered him the drive-time show, which he refused because of school commitments.
