A skincare expert has revealed the two easy ways to tell the difference between what may be a blackhead, or just a blocked pore - with one being 'darker and more raised'.
Rebecca Bennett, a Johnson & Johnson skincare expert, based in London, said that blocked pores are natural and just a collection of sebum - a moisturiser which helps protect our skin and keep it hydrated.
However a blackhead is a combination of too much sebum, pollution and skin cells turning over too quickly - creating a plug in the pore.
The beauty expert also revealed that a blocked pore will look different to a blackhead and why the traditional strips are damaging our skin.
