The Basics of Cinema

A cinema, movie theatre, or movie house, also called a movie house, is a structure which contains several auditorias for showing motion pictures to the public for amusement. Most, if not all, theatres are privately owned operations, catering mainly to the public who come to by buying a ticket for a show. Some have screens inside of them and these are referred to as screening rooms. Some screens are linked together with an attached stage which contains lights for lighting the stages on the other sides of the screen. Other stages may be set aside entirely for the exclusive use of the movie maker or director.
