Switch Up (2019)

A lil sum'n for 4/20. Three years ago today I released this, my first beat tape. I just listened to it for probably the first time since then, and I actually didn't hate it, so I figured I'd put it up here too!

This is a collection of beats I made between April 2018 & April 2019.
My first attempts at any music for a decade & the first full solo project I ever released.

As a DJ, I've always tried to include as many styles in my sets as possible, and in DJ sets, aside from the selection, it's all about the transition... the switch up...

Sonically, this is a fusion of instrumental hip hop, future beats, jungle/d&b, trap, grime, bruk, jazz, soul/r&b & breakbeat. A lot of bass, synths & heavy drums. As with my radio shows & mixtapes, there's a lil' turntablism, a few blends, and sprinkles of samples.

All tracks recorded @ my bedroom, Hackney, London.
