Many, many years ago there was a radio show on 89.1 WFDU-FM known as "The Shape of Things to Come." Hosted by Bob Westphal (or DJ TheOneBob as he came to be known) it was best defined as a show that spanned the genres of Gothic, Industrial and the vast smorgasbord of musical flavors that surround them. Rather than trying to stick to a single style or era, The Shape of Things to Come celebrated the sometimes beautiful, sometimes challenging sounds and voices that would not usually be played on any other broadcast radio station.
