San Francisco based duo, BNZA (Shawn Mercado & Mike Forst), was formed in 2013 with one mission in mind; to define their name with a sound.

Mike and Shawn met at San Francisco's top music and audio production school, Pyramind. They soon decided to work together after Mike saw Shawn (M3RC) open for Noisia and The M Machine at San Francisco’s historic venue, The Regency Ballroom. They realized that the combination of their signature sounds could make for something unique. The two have since worked tirelessly to craft their sound.

BNZA's unique combination of percussive instruments, synths, and hard-hitting drums displays their vast range of musical possibilities. While their recent releases, including an official remix of 'The Wall' by K Theory, and a remix of 'Closer' by Tegan & Sara, were both festival driven house tracks, we know that BNZA is not restricted to any one genre. Their experimentation with new sounds, instruments, tempos, and work flow keeps BNZA ahead of the game.
