Benjamin Dawson is a radio host, producer and unapologetic charity-shop record diver with a lifelong love of interesting music in all its forms. His brain may be incapable of retaining dates, line-ups or musical trivia, but give him a dusty rack between Max Bygraves and Herb Alpert and he’ll pull out something truly special.

He currently hosts Sunday Folk, a monthly wander through folk, roots, world, blues and leftfield sounds on Totally Wired Radio, guided entirely by feel rather than genre rules. He also produces The Beat Sessions, a two-hour collage of music, culture and themed sessions spanning psychedelia, soul, jazz, soundtracks, folk horror and bar-room blues.

Previously, Benjamin hosted the vinyl-only Listening Hour on Radio Nova Lujon for over a decade — a radio-eccentric experiment involving records, mild chaos, occasional “technical difficulties” and a dog called Sybil.
