Andy Bgpz started DJing in Manchester in the early 90s (e.g. resident DJ at "Happiness" in 1991 alongside Sasha, Jon Da Silva, etc and chillout room at the first incarnation of Manumission alongside Mr Scruff), and edited the the clubs/music section of the Big Issue Manchester until 1995.

He founded SoxaN and Raya with like-minded souls, which over a 10-year period placed VJs and DJs on the same footing at venues across London (UK) including residencies at the ICA and Rhythm Factory. Andy has played at festivals such as the Big Chill, In The City and Futuresonic (UK), Mardi Gras (New Orleans, US) and Ambiosonic (France).

Now resident in Canada, he was a regular stalwart of the award-winning Purple Radio (RIP) and can now be found playing tunes on radiowaters.co.uk - and still occasionally plays tunes out IRL, for nice people who know how to have fun.
