I make mixes.....they are far from amazing, but they're not terrible either.
My favourite thing to do is acquire a bunch of tracks, preview them briefly and then make a mix not really knowing the tracks all that well.
I then upload them to the internet for reasons mostly based on vanity and a need for acceptance. Also having them uploaded to the internet in various places makes it easier to play them on the go, so this is probably about ease-of-access more than anything else. Let's be real, no ones really going to hear these anyways :)
