Ben is an exciting emerging face in electronic music. The LOOP resident and Motion Events regular is enjoying a successful year, including releases on Man Power’s MEMEME imprint; his track ‘Ping Pong’ dropping on the VA compilation ‘WE WE WE’, and a rework of Elliot Adamson’s ‘All the Time I Think of You’. His event brand SHI-BUI is going from strength to strength as a go-to hot spot for eclectic house, disco and techno in Newcastle, his sets spanning everything from world music to acid to rolling techno.
Having DJed for several years, he founded SHI-BUI in 2016, giving himself and upcoming talent a regular platform to play in the city. Since then, he has secured a residency at one of Newcastle’s premier house and techno brands LOOP as well as regular appearances at Ape-X and Patrick Topping’s Motion, sharing line ups with artists including Sven Vath, Kölsch, Midland, Richy Ahmed and Honey Dijon.
