freddy and jesse had a
special game, it was called 7 minutes, because for 7 whole minuted, Jesse would be locked in the basement, alone and scared. At first, it was fun, Jesse loved being scared, he loved the excitement of knowing he was going to be all alone and he would count the seconds away till he got out loudly. Then a point came when he wasn’t alone. Not any more. And those 7 minutes seemed a lot longer and things started happening in the dark, things he couldn’t quite name, but when he tried to count away the seconds, they seemed to turn to hours, days, months and Jesse didn’t want to play any more— Jesse didn’t want to play anything, because little Jesse Braun had been changed from a happy child to something else.
