Influenced by a diverse group of artist, DJPRAY has developed a style that’s all his own. DJPRAY'S childhood passion was to dance; he would watch legends like Michael Jackson and James Brown for hours, and try to mimic their moves on the kitchen floor.DJPRAY later found his love for drums and percussion instruments; and acquired the nickname “Drummer Boy” throughout grade school. He then discovered his gift of poetry and crafty way with words. In college, DJPRAY was well known for his Christian values and dance skills; but one thing that didn’t line up with his values and beliefs, was the music that he listened and danced to. After his fall semester, djpray attended a Watch Night service at Faith Christian Outreach Center, pastored by his parents Pastor Michael and Dyan Tyree, where he rededicated his life to the Lord.
