Left school - college - nurse training - qualified 1985 - worked Community in Preston - left in 1988 to manage HOTT WAXX RECORDS for KEV EDWARDS - bought it in 1996 - went tits up in 2006, like virtually every other independant record shop in the UK.

Born out of the heady Northern Soul all-nighter scene of the late 70's/early 80's (WIGAN CASINO, ROTHERHAM CLIFTON HALL, STAFFORD, 100's CLUB, MORECAMBE PIER etc), I was dragged happily through and djed upon the Modern Soul & Jazz-Funk era of the early/mid 80's and onto the late 80's (Soulful) House Music movement.

Musically multi-tasking throughout the 90's - I concurrently ran a ten year residency at the 1700 capacity 'THE WORLD' house music venue playing alongside the likes of MARSHALL JEFFERSON, DERRICK MAY, ASHLEY BEEDLE and CARL COX (amongst others), held down a 7 year residency at the legendary 1800 capacity HOTT WAXX SOUL TRAIN @ MR. SMITHS in Warrington (GWEN GUTHRIE, JULIET ROBERTS, MARTINE GIRAULT, HELEN BRUNER etc) whilst
