aztechsounds is the moniker of Maik Keefe, a Bristolian musician who has been creating music under various guises for over a decade.
aztechsounds made his live debut opening the Weapon of Choice stage at Brisfest 2011 before leaving for Cardiff to pursue a Music Technology degree which turned out to be "basically three years of learning to make better tunes".
Those 'better tunes' took the form of various EPs and albums throughout the years including effstarstarstar (2016) promoted with a live performance at The Attic Bar as part of the ChkOne event series, and most recently debug7 (2024), an ambient record which shows aztechsounds eschewing the normal rhythms and beats of his previous work to focus on texture and melody.
