AVOX grew up in Baton Rouge Louisiana but traveled the short distance to New Orleans in the late 90's to experience the underground EDM scene. He had his first experiences with electronic music in New Orleans, taking part in the incredible nightlife. In these clubs he developed his love for trance music listening to iconic Fat City DJ's like G-Brown and Dynamite.

In the early 2000, breakbeat music was taking over cities like Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans. It was only natural to begin a passion for breakbeat music with the help of great local DJ's like Trashy, Moon and Johnny Cage.
