Austin Ryan Hoffmann (AHSTYN - Another Humbling Survival Through Yesterday's Negativity) is a fairly unknown, underground solo music artist, singer-songwriter that started playing and writing music in 1991, at the age of 12 years old, in Riverside, CA. Having no music lessons, and being entirely self-taught, he would listen to various rock records and try to play along. Doing this with practice, he became a fairly decent guitar player. He is highly influenced by bands like: The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Deftones, Tool, Black Flag, Bad Religion, Weezer, HIM, and spiderworks Etc. Considering his music "Audio Art" and "Sound Paintings.", he often records his music in poor quality, with a signature "Grunge Home Recording" type of sound for his electric music, and a somber, "Reverb" sound for his solo acoustic songs. He tends to deliberately leave mistakes in his recordings, as a way to show the listener that "Art is not perfect, so my music shouldn't be either."
