I have been producing music/noise for over 40 years in various forms, starting with monophonic bleep tunes on the ZX Spectrum, programming the YM chip in the Atari ST and using various trackers on the Commodore Amiga.
In 1989 I bought my first keyboard, a Yamaha PSS-780 with its cute little drum-pads and noisy circuitry. During the early 90’s I used to record 45 minute live mixes of soundscapes with blended in bits of vinyl, recorded snippets, live keyboard playing and tracker modules and give them away to friends on cassette tape labelled with silly names.
Various RL things meant a break from producing music for many years, but recently I decided that I rather enjoyed making semi-structured noise and have resumed doing just that.
These days I use Ableton Live, Serato, some bits of software I have written, my trusty Amiga 4000, a bunch of hardware synths and controllers, plus occasionally strum a Hohner SE-35 for a bit of fun.
