New York
I started DJing in college in the late ’80s, playing vinyl in Brooklyn clubs, New York venues, and private parties. I came up on cheap Numark decks, then moved to Technics MK2s and SLP-1200s, Bozak mixers, Cerwin-Vega speakers, and crates of records. At the clubs, I was lucky to work around serious sound systems powered by Crown, QSC, Bose, and Peavey gear.
New wave was my grassroots music—it was the sound that pulled me in and eventually led me into EDM. I stepped away to build a cybersecurity career, but the music never left.
Now I’m back, diving into progressive EDM, melodic, house, and tech-house—with an Pioneer FLX4, ADAM Audio monitors, M4 Mac, djay Pro, Rekordbox, Ableton, and more.
Still learning, still digging, and still chasing that perfect transition.
