A Birmingham born poet, took an interest in Djing at age 15 working with Punch records to develop her talent. Appearing on BBC numerous times and other various media outlets, decided to bring her love of music to Radio.
A self-described ‘Music Connoisseur’ took well to radio when she joined the Kieran McCloud Breakfast show; adding a comedic flare to the show.
After leaving Newstyle FM, Ashleigh ventured back into performing poetry, starting her own podcasts and hosting events.
She then combined her love for spoken word and music and created The Freemine show on New Big City Radio.
The Freemine show plays the finest UK urban music and spoken word poetry.
There is a special Brum Zone feature; that provides a platform for unsigned artists in Birmingham to get their songs played on air.
