Jean Bourque is an abstract artist that paints to live music. Having painted live at over 220 events in recent years, she continues to push the boundaries between art and music and encompasses her love for both in her abstract to the beat paintings. She has a unique signature style which shows she has spent years working with two masters. With the late Guy Lipscomb in his studio, she learned abstract expressionism in water media and mixed media arts. She studied impressionism in oil painting with the great Ilona Royce Smithken of the SCETV show Painting with Ilona for nearly 15 years.
