Keyboard artist, singer and songwriter Arthur Cruz is an interpreter of standard tunes and his own original songs - melodic tunes with pensive lyrics that blend jazz, rock and pop influences from Cole Porter to the Beatles to Sting.
He began singing in choir and playing clarinet at age 8. At 16 became organist at St. Michael's in Miami. With "Pearly Queen" & "Trapp" performed at teen dances, and night clubs.
After majoring in music at the University of Miami, he went on to perform w/ "Trickshot" & "Ecstacy" during the 1980’s.
During the 1990's Arthur began playing piano bars, working at Stefano’s on Key Biscayne & Howl-at-the Moon.
Since 2001 Arthur has been free-lancing with various bands and artists in addition to his solo performances.
Arthur has produced sound-tracks for video and motion picture, including “Falling Up” and “All Men Are Beasts”.
He continues to write and perform original songs in the South Florida area in between his 'commercial' gigs.
