Argo Bookshop is the oldest anglophone retail bookstore in Montreal, Quebec. We’re proud to bring new choice books to the city. Citizens tend to agree when they take the time to browse our shelves, noting that despite the store’s size, it is well-packed with quality.

The shop is currently owned by Meaghan Acosta, Gap Boo Ahn & J.P. Karwacki. The store now acts as a means to the end of continuing the practice of supporting and promoting literary culture through the sale of books and literary performance events.

The Argo Bookshop has held monthly Featured Readings to showcase and celebrate some of the best in literature. Here you’ll find our aural time capsule, recordings from readings, interviews, criticism and special events that aim to encourage greater appreciation of the literary arts.
