Ant J Steep was among those mythic DJ/producers who put Australia's deep house scene on the global map in the 2000s.
Steep is most often equated with the fabled Naarm/Melbourne nightclub Honkytonks, where he was resident of The Slap Shack alongside Angela Maison. They formed a band, Little Beasties, airing music on the UK label Music For Freaks (Luke Solomon and Justin Harris) and Future Classic.
Today, Ant is based in Los Angeles, working variously as an DJ, artist, composer, sound designer and music software developer.
