I am a lover of music and a Furry, after attending many conventions and going to a number of dances, I was disappointed with Music selection and professionalism of the dance dj's and said to myself, I can do better. The songs were repetitive, uninteresting, poorly flowing from one to the next, often there were gaps, or big volume shifts, or they tried to get too "fancy" and overlaying songs poorly that really didn't belong together. I am an armature "dj" I do this as a hobby at events I get lucky enough to be picked for, and I've landed some big ones including the Fursuit dance at Anthrocon, the biggest furry convention in the world. I am a minimalist when it comes to my mixes I do not use any external equipment like a USB controller or any traditional DJ Software, I rather, let the music do most of the work, my mixing consists largely of simple intelligent variable crossfades, where the magic comes in, is based on my song selection and ordering. not complicated layering.
