Anegekuh Foundation was set up in 2004 in tribute to Lucas Anegekuh a second world war veteran and a great philanthropist who inspired and dedicated his time to poverty alleviation and promoting education.
He initiated and funded Anegekuh thrift and loan house, an initiative that has been the sole source of income for many families.
Up to date, this house still exists and helping many young people to gain primary school education.
With HIV/AIDS destroying many lives in the community, the foundation was set up to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and preventions through sport and also offer educational scholarship awards to talented and deserving students to pursue their secondary school education.
