i HAVE A NEW TIME SLOT, THEREFORE A NEW NAME "The Jazz Groove" - From a midnight show to Saturday afternoons "Night Beat" doesn't fit anymore. I focus mainly on gospel-rooted jazz with occasional forays into jazz-related rock and R&B world - in any case, a tremendous amount of music we know has evolved from its spiritual origins in the black gospel churches of the Jim Crow era in the southern states of the US. This is the perennial, underlying message of my programming. My show airs on alternating Saturdays 2-4, Pacific Time in the United States.
Some of my aired programs in my early "NIght Beat" era here are blocked due to restrictions concerning too many tracks played that were headed by the same artist, in the same show, (but those playlists can be found on You Tube Music), Those were in the early days before I learned the ropes - the ones that tie you down. My shows don't get blocked anymore.
