For Amy M. Lavine, nothing is more important than being a part of her community. Since opening Sketch Art Supplies in Hudson, New York in 2012, Lavine has contributed to a number of community events and volunteered her time to help promote local artists. In 2013, she participated in the Back to School Block Party and helped paint children's' faces for the Dia de los Muertos celebration. Most recently, she sponsored ten young women from the Perfect Ten after school program who participated in the Hudson Area Library’s annual Ghostly Gallop fundraiser.
