I'm Al Menos (Alex) from London UK. I'm 1/6 of the team at innerSoul.
I would say that i am into most Dance music styles but tended to have moved most with Drum and Bass. Anything with a good groove and some soul to the tune really, is what catches my ears.
When I had my first set of decks, Garage was the "in thing" at my school at the time (circa 1998) and that music is what helped me decide that I wanted to DJ. I do get asked to play Garage sets at parties quite often, so it still plays a large part in my DJ sets today.
As for more current moves, I am a founder member of London based Liquid Drum and Bass club night/rave/brand, “innerSoul”
We run a successful quarterly night in London. as well as regularly publishing monthly “InnerSoul Radio” Shows and our “InnerSoul Selects” series.
