"The second most popular game, that we played as children is... HOUSE."

from the first tracks that hit our shores around the mid 80s... zodiac records provided a mind blowing warehouse of imported 12" singles (thanks to a nearby USAF station)... with me paying upto £25 of my hard earned cash on a song that had captured my heart and my imagination... the tunes made you want to get up and dance and i frequently did as my bedroom was filled with thumping base and repetitive hook lines... "your love" frankie knuckles... "hip hop bee bop" man parrish... "it takes two" rob base and dj ez rock... "my love is guaranteed" sybil... "can u dance" kenny 'jammin' jason... and not forgetting "baby let me love you for tonight" kariya...

over the years my tastes have extended to cover most genres... but even now... in my mid 40s, a good night is a night listening to the most banging house tunes... "it it ain't got groove then it ain't worth a funk"...
