Growing up in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, Alex Rubio always found one way or another to immerse himself in music. In his adolescence he began experimenting with musical manipulation by recording mix tapes of electronic music from the radio. These developments in Alex’s youth cultivated an interest in dance music that has spanned his whole life.

At the beginning of 2012, Alex launch MEXA Records with Louie Fresco (No. 19 Music). MEXA001 was Lee Foss’s Masta Blasta EP, which has been extremely well received by the dance music community. As an A&R with this promising label and a DJ and producer with incredible taste, timing and vibe, Alex Rubio is set to be one of the best in the business.
